INTIMACY IN PUBLIC AREA
In January 2025, Angie Boro began photographing the interiors of cars parked on the streets around her home. Motionless, doors closed, these vehicles become fragments of intimacy exposed within public space.
At the intersection of the private and the collective, the car appears here as an intermediary place, revealing a temporary and mobile way of inhabiting. These silent interiors make visible what is usually withdrawn from view, made accessible through stillness, parking, pause.
URBAN CARTOGRAPHY
If a moving car is merely an instrument of mobility—often at odds with the ecological concerns of our modern societies—the immobilized car becomes a symbolic place, a temporary domestic space that allows us to reflect on our gestures and our uses.
Nomad Home transforms these singular spaces into a series of archetypes, each interior retaining its specificity, yet together forming a whole—like a new, sensitive way of mapping inhabited space.
